Calcium aluminate cement - UAC 80

UAC 80 performs high thermal resistance with an alumina content of 80% and can be adapted up to the 1,800℃ work-condition. Mineralogical composition comprehends Calcium mono-aluminate (CaO· Al2O3, CA) in principal phase, Calcium di-Aluminate (CaO· 2Al2O3, CA2) and Alpha alumina in secondary phase. UAC80 is optimized with high-performance additives for better workability and represents excellent product-consistency and strength; furthermore, users can work it for the desired physical properties and workability with their own customized recipes. UAC80 includes UAC80N - the basic grade, UAC 80N2 – having good flow-ability by more fine particles and UAC80HF2 – the premium grade suitable for high temperature refractory castables such as for steel ladles.

Characteristics and application

UAC 80 family is distinguished as a high purity Alumina content (around 80% Al2O3) and rarely bearing impurities like SiO2 and Fe2O3, therefore it is used for castable binders which demands high resistance to heat and thermal shock.
