Calcium aluminate cement is demonstrated as high thermal resistance and high wear resistance, which helps it widely used in the refractory industry.
UAC70 is manufactured by sintering of high purity calcined alumina and limestone at 1,600℃ then ground down to specific blaines. It is composed by Alumina and Calcium oxide and in terms of mineralogical composition, Calcium mono-Aluminate (CaO· Al2O3, CA) in principal phase and Calcium di-Aluminate (CaO· 2Al2O3, CA2) in secondary phase. As a pure cement containing no-additives ever, it is versatile for users to design for various application with their own additives or mixing. In particular it outdoes other brands in stable reactivity and good curing strength. UAC70 family consisted with UAC70N – the basic grade and UAC70S – ca. 1wt% higher content of alumina.
UAC 70 is widely applied to high technology refractories such as LCC, ULCC.
