Calcium aluminate cement is demonstrated as high thermal resistance and high wear resistance, which helps it widely used in the refractory industry.
UAC50 is produced with bauxite and quicklime at 1,700℃ in electric furnace and ground into target blaine value (or specific surface area) after cooling. UAC50 containing Al2O3 about 50% is optimized in 1,400℃ work-site and it consists of Calcium mono-Aluminate (CaO· Al2O3, CA) in principal phase and Calcium Aluminum Silicate (Gehlenite, 2CaO· Al2O3·SiO2, C2AS) in secondary phase. It is generally applied to conventional binder in monolithic refractories and also it performs as raw materials for special grade mortar in the building industry.
UAC50 is manufactured by melting process and performs homogeneous quality as well as consistent properties. It is widely used for refractory & insulating castable.
